2. How We Use Information
- Security Scanning: All scans (Quick, Full, WiFi) run entirely on your device. No file data is sent to our servers.
- Threat Database: Malware signature database is downloaded to your device for local matching.
- Device Health: RAM, storage, and battery stats are read locally and never transmitted.
- QR Code Scanning: QR codes are scanned locally using your camera. No images are uploaded.
- Document Scanner: Documents are processed on-device. No images leave your phone.
- Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (scan counts, feature usage) to improve the app. No personal data is included.

4. Data Storage & Security
- All scan data is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage.
- Scan history and results are encrypted and inaccessible to other apps.
- License information is securely transmitted via HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
- We do not maintain databases of user scan results on our servers.
- When you uninstall OM Antivirus, all local data is automatically deleted.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Google AdMob
The free version of OM Antivirus displays ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings. See Google's Privacy Policy.
5.2 Expo / React Native
Our app is built with Expo/React Native. Expo may collect anonymous crash reports and performance data. See Expo's Privacy Policy.
No Ads in Premium: OM Shield subscribers (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime) enjoy a completely ad-free experience with zero third-party tracking.
6. Children's Privacy
OM Antivirus is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Retention
- Scan history: Stored locally until you clear it or uninstall the app
- License data: Retained for the duration of your subscription
- Support emails: Retained for up to 2 years for service improvement
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated data retained for up to 1 year
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
